John C. Sullivan  joined Herbert W. Finbury in 1976 to form the present firm. He has attained the highest ranking established by Martindale-Hubbell's Law Directory. This rating is given only to lawyers and law firms who are considered to have very high to pre-eminent legal ability and who are thought to embrace very high professional standards.

He has authored an article on the subject which has been helpful both to clients needing information regarding their rights, and out-of-state attorneys referring cases to the firm. He has successfully represented clients in the areas of serious personal injury, divorce, workers' compensation, criminal matters including DWI/OUI, and social security disability.

Daniel C. Finbury is an attorney comfortable both with counseling clients in the office and trying cases in court.  His work commonly involves representing clients in personal injury claims, workers’ compensation matter, social security disputes and marital and criminal matter, and generally anything that can or may lead to a courtroom.  Prior to finding himself standing before a judge or jury or a Massachusetts or New Hampshire administrative tribunal generally requires many hours of office discussion, document review and investigation.  Though attempting to avoid the risks and stresses of trial on his clients he is not afraid of taking the case to a final judgment or verdict.

Dan attended the Haverhill Massachusetts public school systems and finished high school at Middlesex School in Concord, MA.  He graduated from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT after a short period of study in London and Paris.  After working as a paralegal in New York City for several years  he went on to graduate work at Boston University Law School where he graduated in 1981.  He took and passed the Massachusetts Bar in that same year and worked as a pro bono criminal attorney in Essex County.  In 1982 he went to Dallas, Texas where he again took and passed the Texas Bar and worked for several trial attorneys over the next two years.  In 1984 he returned to his father’s law firm and has been practicing there ever since.  In 1986 he took and passed the New Hampshire Bar and was admitted to practice before the Federal District Courts in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire  as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.  He has argued several cases before the New Hampshire Supreme Court.

He is presently a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the New Hampshire Bar Association.
